We celebrated a milestone four decades in the making — 40 years of collaboration between Hytec International and Parker.
It all began with a single order of Parker T1 pumps, and a bold idea. At a time when the tipper market ran almost entirely on gear pumps, Hytec saw something different: the potential of piston pump technology for tipper applications. That early conviction helped pioneer a shift in the market — and laid the foundation for a partnership that has lasted 40 years.
To mark the occasion, we were honored to welcome Parker Middle East Gary Lacap and Ramesh Kashyap, and were also joined by Anders Larsson (Product Leader, Truck and Pumps) via video conference from Sweden. As part of the celebration, Parker presented Hytec with a golden T1 pump and a personal thank-you note from the Parker Sweden factory shop floor and was received by Jan Hooftman — a fitting symbol of where it all started.
Reflecting on the journey that started in June 1986, Jan shared memories of how the relationship began four decades ago with that very first order of T1 pumps. Anders added that Hytec’s early move into piston pumps made us true pioneers in the tipper market, and that this understanding of the real story behind the technology is exactly what unlocked the opportunity across the Middle East.
